My Criticism of Against All Odds
I have issues with this alt-history
1. ships that are retired aren't The Type 22 Frigate left service over decade ago, why is still in service as it would have been retired by the RN by now
2. New ships that have been announced haven't been added the in-real world countries have announced new ships which this wiki hasn’t added
3. Ship and weapon information needs updating
there are several pages that need more to be added
4. The KGVI Class needs pictures
What are these things suppose to be exactly and what do they look like
5. The Illustrious 2-Class need information and the Illustrious 3-Class needs both pictures and information
6. Aircraft choices that make no sense in reality
Supermarine Typhoon which makes no sense cause 1 it would be the Eurofighter Consortium and 2 the Typhoon is not suitable for carrier ops, there is a reason it was rejected as a naval aircraft and that’s because of its air-intake position.
More likely the British go for the Hawker-Siddeley’s HS.1207 project is given the YF-17 treated and enlarged into an F-18-like aircraft as that is easier to use
The Supermarine Atlantis ASW, Supermarine Sentry AEW and Supermarine Seagull COD which are supposed to be the British S-3 (Atlantis) & E-2 (Sentry) & C-2 (Seagull) which make no sense cause the British ain’t gonna do that
More likely Hawker-Siddeley takes Blackburn’s P.138B project and develops an AEW, COD and ASW role to replace the Gannet but if that fails, Hawker-Siddeley dust off Avro’s failed 748 derived 748 COD and 768 AEW and build them with the P.138B becoming an ASW airframe
7. Over-Reliance on RL stuff that would not happen in reality
My major complaint is that your alt-history relies too much on historical stuff which would not happen the way it did as Procurement decisions will be different in this timeline 8. Why are there no SSBNs when they should be there?
Really the nuclear Bomber is gonna get usurped no matter what you change as the USA was already building them before Powers was downed and the British Empire should really have ICBM, Bombers and SSBN Submarines
9. Illustrious 3-Class Aircraft Carrier?
So is the Illustrious 3 Class suppose to the equal to the USA Gerald.R.Ford Class?
10. Lack of empire power plants
The British will make very different choices like all the Canadian planes would be designed to take the P&W or British Empire power-plants or more likely the American company are bought up and the American Companies go defunct
