Everything here is Canon.

  • Armoured Infantry Carrier: Armoured Personnel Carrier
  • Allies/The Allies/Allied Forces: What would be the western Allies in OTL minus still neutral Greece, Denmark and Norway.
  • Americommie: Portmanteau of the words American and commie.
  • ARCS: Airborne Reconnaissance System. TTL's term of AWACS (Airborne Warning and Control System).
  • ASDIC: Like with RDF the lack of American impact on official technical parlance in the English language makes this the AAO replacement for the word sonar.

  • Battlebridge: Like with AAM, Armoured Infantry Carrier, ASDIC and RDF, the lack of American impact on official technical parlance in the English language makes this the AAO replacement for the term Combat Information Center.
