The APN Rocky Mountain (CV-11) was one of the twenty-six People's Republic-class aircraft carriers of the American People's Navy.

History[]

Construction and Commissioning[]

Rocky Mountain was laid down at the Newport News Naval Shipyard on April 15th, 1941 alongside the Pacifica with double shift construction authorized from initial steel cutting. Rocky Mountain would be launched on August 18th, 1942 and be commissioned on December 8th, 1942 with Captain Thomas L. Sprague in command.
