The Airbus A310 is a medium- to long-range twin-engined wide-body jet airliner. Launched in July 1978, it was the second aircraft to enter production by Airbus Industrie, the consortium of European aerospace companies. The A310 is a shortened derivative of the Airbus A300, the first twin-engined widebody airliner. The A310 usually seats 200-220 passengers and has a range of 3,500-5150 nautical miles.
