The American People's Coast Guard is a branch of the American People's Armed Forces and one of the country's seven uniformed services. The Coast Guard is a maritime, military, multi-mission service unique among the American military branches for having a maritime law enforcement mission (with jurisdiction in both domestic and international waters) and a federal regulatory agency mission as part of its mission set. It has a total of 91,100 personnel (42,200 active duty, 7,900 selected reservists, 32,200 auxiliaries, and 8,800 civilians).
