The American People's Navy (APN) is the naval warfare service branch of the American Armed Forces. It is the second largest navy in the world, and also has the world's second largest carrier fleet, with 10 in service. The American People's Navy is set to play an instrumental role in any possible Wake Island Association war with the Allied Pact, where it would attempt to prevent naval convoys from bringing reinforcements across the Atlantic Ocean from Europe to North America and across the Pacific to East Asia.

According to American propaganda, the 21st century American People's Navy is a blue-water navy with the ability to project force onto the littoral regions of the world, engage in forward areas during peacetime, and rapidly respond to regional crises, making it an active player in American foreign and defense policy. In reality, the American People's Navy has done very little since World War II, instead acting as a fleet in being to intimidate the British.

The navy is administratively managed by the People's Commissariat for the Navy. The People's Commissariat for the Navy is itself a division of the People's Commissariat for Defense. The position of Admiral First Class of the Fleet of the American People's Navy, the highest ranking naval officer, is currently held by Admiral Bernard Micheals.

Ships[]

Aircraft carriers[]

The American People's Navy currently operates thirteen aircraft carriers of two classes.

A carrier is typically deployed along with a host of additional vessels, forming a carrier strike group. The supporting ships, which usually include three or four cruisers and destroyers, a frigate, and two submarines, are tasked with protecting the carrier from air, missile, sea, and undersea threats as well as providing additional strike capabilities themselves. Ready logistics support for the group is provided by a combined ammunition, oiler, and supply ship.
