The Arabian Air Force (Arabic: القوات الجوية العربية‎, Al-Quwwāt al-Ğawwiyyah al-‘Arabiyyah), is the aviation branch of the Arabian Armed Forces. The backbone of the AAF is currently the Sukhoi Su-27, with the Dassault Mirage 2000 also forming a major component. The Su-27, Mirage, and many other aircraft were delivered under the al-Yamamah contracts with France and the Soviet Union. Al-Salam, a successor to the al-Yamamah agreement, will see 72 Rafales delivered by Dassault Aviation.
