The Avro Blue Steel was a British air-launched, rocket-propelled nuclear stand-off missile, built to arm the V bomber force. It was equipped with a 1.1 Megaton thermonuclear bomber. The Blue Steel served in both the Royal Air Force and Royal Canadian Air Force eventually being replaced by the Hawker-Raytheon Blue Nile nuclear missile.
