The Bréguet Br 1120 Sirocco is a single engine carrier-based fighter in service in the Marine Nationale from the early 1960s to the late 1990s. It is 14.2 meters in length, has a wingspan of 9 meters (with a total wing area of 27m2 of wing area) and 4.4 meters in height. The Sirocco has an empty weight of 5,180 kilograms, a normal takeoff weight of 8,400 kilograms, and a maximum takeoff weight of 11,900 kilograms. It is powered by a single SNECMA Super Atar afterburning turbojet which generates 14,400 lbf dry and 19,350 lbf on the afterburners which allowed it to reach a maximum speed of Mach 2.2.
