The Colombian Air Force or (Spanish: Fuerza Aérea Colombiana, FAC) is the air force of the Liberal Republic of Colombia. The FAC is one of the three institutions of the Armed Forces of Colombia, charged with exercising and maintaining control of Colombia's airspace to defend its sovereignty, territorial integrity and constitutional order. It is one of the largest American air forces, after the American People's Army Air Force, Royal Canadian Air Force, Venezuelan Air Force, and Peruvian Air Force.
The FAC served in the Leticia Incident and World War II, and has performed many counter-insurgency operations.
