The Dornier 728/928 family is a family of regional jet airlines manufactured by Dornier GmbH. The 728 range consists of three models:
- the 728, which seats 70-85 passengers and has a range of 1,781 nautical miles
- the 928, which seats 95-110 passengers and has a range of 1,925 nautical miles
- the 528, which seats 55-65 passengers and has a range of 1,600 nautical miles.
The 728 made its first flight on June 30, 2002 and entered service on August 30, 2003 with Lufthansa Cityline. As of September 2017, Dornier has delivered 870 728 family aircraft.
