The People's Republic of Japan (PRJ; Japanese: 日本人民共和国, Nihon Jinmin Kyōwakoku), informally known as East Japan (Japanese: 東日本, Higashinihon), is a socialist state established by the UAPR in 1952 out of the American zone of occupied Japan, including East Tokyo of the occupied capital city. The PRJ has an area of ? km2 (? mi2), bordering West Japan to the south and west.
East Japan is a satellite state of the UAPR. Forces from the Wake Island Association are deployed along the entirety of the heavily fortified border with West Japan, including West Tokyo, which is encircled on three sides by the PRJ.
East Japan is a member of the League of Nations and Wake Island Association.
