The Eastview-class frigate is a type of surface combatant developed by the RCN to replace its older escort vessels (such as the Tribal and Battle class destroyers). It entered service in 1960s and was retired by 2002. It was one of the first Canadian warships to be built with guided missiles as part of the design.
- The design is based on the General Purpose Frigate that was proposed in the early 1960s.
