The HMCS Athabaskan (D212) was a Tribal-class destroyer in the Royal Canadian Navy during World War II. She was named for the First Nations peoples who make up the Athabaskan language group.
In 1943, the Athabaskan was part of Battlegroup Able-Seven along with HMCS Vimy Ridge, HMCS Bonaventure, HMCS Spirit of Montreal, and HMCS Spirit of Quebec (among other ships). Later that year, the Athabaskan participated in assaulting the Japanese military base near Bengkulu.[1]
