The HMS Audacious (R21) was an Audacious-class aircraft carrier in service in the Royal Navy during the Second World War. In mid 1943, shortly after her commissioning, the Audacious was sent to investigate German activity on the Frisian islands, which turned out to be nothing more than a rather large RDF station. The Audacious was able to destroy the station in half an hour, and won a small aerial engagement against Luftwaffe planes[1].
