The HMS Crescendo was a frigate in the Royal Navy that was stationed at the Falkland Islands during the 1970s and 1980s. On April 1st, 1983, the Crescendo was sunk during the Argentine invasion of the Falklands when the Argentine destroyers Hercules and Santísima Trinidad pounded her to scrap from stand-off range.[1]
