The HMS Illustrious (NR-01) was the first of the Illustrious-class supercarriers and the first nuclear powered aircraft carrier in the world.
Illustrious was decommissioned on November 11th, 2014 after fifty-three years of service in the royal navy. Her replacement, HMS Illustrious (NR-101) entered service on July 8th, 2015.
