The Hunting Three-Eleven or 3-11 is the name given to the third generation of Hunting Aircraft's Eleven family of short-to-medium-range jet airliners. Produced by Hunting Aircraft since 1994, the Three-Eleven series includes four variants:
- The 3-11 600, which seats 110-149 passengers and has a range of 3,050 nautical miles.
- The 3-11 700, which seats 128-149 passengers and has a range of 3,365 nautical miles.
- The 3-11 800, which seats 160-189 passengers and has a range of 3,060 nautical miles.
- The 3-11 900, which seats 177-220 passengers and has a range of 3,200 nautical miles.
Hunting began development of the Three-Eleven in the early 1990s in response to the Airbus A320. The Three-Eleven made its first flight on February 28th, 1995 and entered service in February 1996 with Qantas. The Three-Eleven has a 25% bigger wing than the Two-Eleven for greater fuel capacity, quieter and more fuel-efficient engines, and a modern glass cockpit.
As of 2017, a total of 6,480 Three-Elevens have been delivered by Hunting, making it the best-selling British airliner.
