The IJN Amagi was a unique battlecruiser built during World War II. She was sunk at the Battle of the South China Sea on April 3rd, 1944 with the finishing blow coming an RNZN Spearfish that dropped a 1,000 lb bomb that penetrated and detonated inside the Amagi's forward magazine.
Amagi's sister sister, No.796, was cancelled before construction with the slipway used to construct another Unryu-class aircraft carrier.
- This Amagi is of the B-65 design battlecruisers.
