The Project 71 Ioann Zlatoust-class light fleet carriers were a quartet of aircraft carriers built by the Soviet Union during World War II. They began work in 1939 after being authorized by Joseph Stalin in 1938 under the Third Five-Year Plan. The four ships would be built in the shipyards in Leningrad and Mykolaiv.
