The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15 (Russian: Микоя́н и Гуре́вич МиГ-15) is a jet fighter aircraft developed by Mikoyan-Gurevich for the Soviet Union. The MiG-15 was one of the first successful jet fighters to incorporate swept wings to achieve high transonic speeds.
After the failures of the Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-9 and Yakolev Yak-15, the Soviet Union started work on a replacement but due to trouble with the engine, the Soviets turned to the Communist United States for help.
- OTL the MiG-15 used the Kilmov VK-1 however in this TL, the British Empire would not sell the Soviets the engines, so the MiG-15 has the Germany derived Kilmov VK-1 engine instead meaning it has slightly weaker performance than the OTL MiG-15.
