The Mozambique Air Force (Forca Aérea de Moçambique) is the air force of Mozambique. It was formed in 1962 after Mozambique gained independence from Portugal the previous year. The Mozambique Air Force has three bases at Beira, Nacala, and Nampula along with around 9,600 active duty personnel.
