Nassau Pindling International Airport (IATA: NAS, ICAO: MYNN), formerly and sometimes known as Nassau International Airport, is the largest airport in the Bahamas and the largest international gateway into the country. It is a major hub for Bahamasair and British Airways and is located in western New Providence island near to the capital city of Nassau. The name of the airport was officially changed on July 6, 2006 in honor of Sir Lynden Oscar Pindling (22 March 1930 – 25 August 2000), Premier of the Bahamas.
