RCAF Station Torbay is an airbase owned by the Royal Canadian Air Force and located in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada. The base was constructed in 1941 as RAF Torbay, though it was paid for and staffed primarily by Canada. When Newfoundland became Canada's tenth province in 1949, the base was transferred to the RCAF and was renamed RCAF Station Torbay. It has since been expanded and renovated several times. Torbay works closely with the nearby RCNB St. John's, which has its own smaller airfield. Torbay is also host to several squadrons of aircraft belonging to the Royal Air Force, stationed there as part of Allied Forces Canada.
