The Shōhō-class is a planned class of the nuclear powered aircraft carriers being built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries for the Republic of Japan Navy. The three ships are to be named Shōhō (CVL-07), Zuihō (CV-08), and Mizuhō (CVL-09). They are currently third largest military vessels built by Japan (the first and second largest vessels are the aircraft carrier Shinano and the Yamato-class battleships).
