The Shōhō-class is a planned class of light aircraft carriers of West Japan. The two ships will be 880 feet (268.22 meters) in length 110 feet (33.53 meters) wide with a full-load displacement of 33,680 tons, and will be able to carry up to 44 helicopters or STOVL aircraft. The two ships are to be named Shōhō (CVL-07) and Sentōhō (CVL-08). They are being built by the Republic of Japan Navy to replace the RJS Mutekitaka, its current aircraft carrier.
