Tōkyō Province (Japanese: 東京州 Tōkyōshū) is one of the five provinces of the People's Republic of Japan (East Japan). Tōkyō Province consists of the Empire of Japan's former Chiba, Saitama and Kanagawa prefectures as well as part of the former Tōkyō Metropolis. East Tokyo, the capital and largest city of East Japan, is located in this province, while West Tokyo forms an enclave within it. Tōkyō Province has an area of 13,154 km² and a population of 24,923,239.
