The Tosan (Persian: Wild Horse or Fury) is an Iranian light tank which began production in 2005. The tank is built for strategic missions and quick response. It is based on the British FV101 Scorpion AFV, and is fitted with either a Cockerill 90mm Mk.8 cannon or an RSAF L23A1 30mm RARDEN cannon, Toophan missile launchers and improved firing and targeting systems. The tank can drive long distances on its tracks and does not need to be carried on trucks.
