The Westland-Sikorksy WS-56 Westminster is a British helicopter originally designed in the late 1950s by Westland Helicopters. A large cargo design, it was powered by two turboshaft engines driving a single, five-bladed rotor. The Westminster has been produced in two main roles: a land-based heavy lift helicopter and a naval medium-lift and anti-submarine warfare helicopter. The land-based variant has since been discontinued, but naval models continue to serve with many navies around the world.
